Sharp ar-m205 and penguin
28.07.2008
using sharp photocopier as printer under linux, no can do. I’ve tried to use it wit HP laser-jet drivers as I was recommended. I’ve tried something involving a dead goat, chicken and seven-roads crossing but nothing. Nothing helps. I’ve even tried looking support from manufacturers website.. and nothing. And if I tried to complain about my misfortune:
And i can’t complain because I’m not using “web browser”. Maybe their web page isn’t web page at all. Maybe it’s some jiberish. (when I was young there were STANDARDS there were no such thing that not compatible web browser)
conclusion: fuck you so very much, sharp.
There must be some serious morons in sharp. Not having linux drivers for old midrange photocopier is forgiveable but that web browser thing. WHO uses internet explorer?
(this is revengepost. it doesn’t have any value at all. but even tiny revenge is sweet)
list of cool hardware
08.04.2008
it is list of what some call “legacy hardware”. but coolness is something what keeps going and going. i have this list of evil hardware. but sometimes i shouldn’t be so negative.
1. ibm x24 – cool
2. ibm x series 225 – úber cool
3. dell optiplex – cool desktop. nice minimalistic thing.. not workstation with superpowers. but it’s for actual work.
4. pentium 3 processors – all of them (all of them what i’ve seen/tortued) because whatever what your sick mind can produce they just keep going and going, not so fast but they are like mules. úberpocessors from 20′th century.
5. pentium 2 processors – all of them, having same “defect”:
yes sometimes a little ‘deffect’ can make hardware cooler.
same thing over here. post if you have anything to say..
Here will be list of all evil hardware.. you all may add something to comments.
1. minolta pagepro 1100L – EVIL.
2. HP laserjet 1000 series – evil as hell.
3. via raid – should be quoted, “raid”.
4. Sony camcorders – well most of them. connectivity part is evúl, optics are ok.
5. speed touch 780WL – evil as “router” can be made.
6. test um validator – not just evil, it’s cruel thing. you measure cables and measure and measure (run around in building) all is ok and you start saving your data and that damn thing crashes (due lack of ram or something) and you start running again. and if you thing you can load battery during measuring think again. this damn thing messes up results (due lack of decent power supply). conclusion. IT’S EVIL.
7. ATI graphics boards – lots of them. have you ever tried enable 3d in linux with ati graphics? i once managed it.. with ati rage 128 – good ol’ times. I don’t say that’s impossible, i know it’s possible but extremely irritating so it’s pure proof of it’s evilness.
8. acer aspire series – whole thing is pretty solid and performs well under stress (for getting some nails into wall and stuff like that). but these audio connectors front side, feels so good when headphone jack sticks into my bladder… and this shiny shiny display. wide-screen of-course anyway. and ultra-bright led indicators for bluetooth and wlan.. how cool is that.. you got big fancy shiny screen and bright shiny leds to piss you off.. conclusion – evil
9. shiny displays – they might perform better in darkness (actually i doubt that) i belive they look cooler in store. but in sunlight you’ll soon suffer somekind of eye disease caused by overloading your eyes. evil, extreme evil..
10. isp modified routers – they just don’t work.. (rojukene kirjutab)
